KanCare 1115 Demonstration Reports
On June 25, 2025, the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) updated the section 1115 demonstration monitoring approach to reduce state burden, promote effective and efficient information sharing and enhance CMS’s oversight of program integrity by reducing variation in information reported to CMS.
This update eliminated the quarterly report requirement for the 1115 waiver to transition to a standalone annual monitoring report. The due date of the annual monitoring report is due to CMS 180 days after the end of each demonstration year.
