The Beneficiary Advisory Committee (BAC) is a vital advisory body to the state Medicaid agency.

Its primary purpose is to provide informed recommendations regarding Medicaid policies, ensuring that health and medical care services offered under the program meet the needs of beneficiaries. The committee consists of a diverse group of licensed medical professionals, Medicaid beneficiaries, mental health experts, pharmacists, government representatives and stakeholders working collaboratively to enhance the quality, accessibility, and equity of care.

These issues are discussed in aggregate and not on a member by member basis. The BAC does not discuss any information that is considered Protected Health Information (PHI) or Personally Identifiable Information (PII) as defined by federal regulations.
